Jean-Michel Basquiat (1960-1988)

Future Science Versus Man, 1983

Science in conflict with man is the conception of the black future. How to picture the future is not really an easy task for an artist. This one remained the critic warning against the technological concept that might spoil our time becoming estranged in war-industry, nuclear pollution and mad and irresponsible scientists wasting the essence of human happiness and positive prospects in time. No naive science fiction here, no real beauty but for color and composition to the honor of the artist. We are dangerous psychopaths as sciences and scientists estranged from the beauty and harmony of natural time. That's the statement.
