Warning:
study these rules one by one. To consider this book as
a running narrative is a mistake. To study more than a
couple of rules at a time is certainly ill
advice.
Sport
is defined as physical activity engaged in for
pleasure. What the real sport is all about is to gain
control over the body. Trough the spirit
the body is controlled by the soul
(pict.).
Thus of first importance is not to lose your
soul,
but properly align
to it. Het ware genoegen, geluk, wordt gevonden in het
zich gewetensvol herinnerende zelf. Dus moet men op de
eerste plaats spelen volgens de regels van de
ziel.
From that the goodness of sport can be: the success of
having no words, but deeds.
b)
Do not force yourself.
There
is a notorious conflict between the mind
and the emotions. Many people are confused seeing
thoughts and feelings in opposition. The
mind
can be driven by a lower motive with the
soul
alarming by means of feelings that the wrong program
is operating. Also the body can be conditioned or
being under the influence of a lower drive with the
mind
alarming that those kind of feelings don't match with
the program of the soul.
Both ways one tends to force the other. There is no
recipe saying thoughts or emotions should prevail.
There are recipes for alignment
to the soul.
The soul
communicates through emotions ànd thoughts and
properly aligned the two are in harmony with no
forcing taking place. Following material motives one
may think that either one has to suffer pain failing
to follow the emotional or madness failing to follow
the mindful. Aligning
though one escapes from being caught in the duality
(pict.).
Aligning
with the soul
means to restore the relationship with the body by
means of exercise. Not only from the spiritual motive
the mind
should be trained, but also from that same motive the
body should learn to answer to the definition of
sport: one does it just to feel good to begin with,
not for the sake of being number one. Thus basic
exercise is not to develop skill or muscle or stamina,
but simply to feel good in the body the way it is. One
does basically not force oneself to any accomplishment
or outcome but one engages in physical activity for
the sake of itself. This is commonly known throughout
the world under different denominations as bending and
stretching. The Indians do it this way, the chinese
that way and the westerners call it so and so. However
named basically the mind
and the body align by simple exercise according to a
personally preferred pattern. Muscles are stretched
and contracted for the sake of toning them up.
Blood-circulation is enhanced as a consequence and one
feels good from that. Regularly straining the body
this way without forcing it appeases the
mind
and makes the body supple. It is even prescribed as a
precondition for proper meditation.
One will notice being caught in conditionings as the
body will get stiff at times. Realizing where the
stiffness comes from the exercising gives room for
meditating alternatives to counter the stifling
conditioning. This is better than forcing oneself
against the conditioning thus running into pain or
falling into madness.
c)
Eat healthfood.
To
eat healthy means predominantly not to eat too much.
Overeating leads to all kinds of diseases having too
much fat and too much toxic waste in the body.
Especially eating meat is really not necessary.
Proteins and essential vitamins can be obtained from
beans, cereal and dairy products. Digestion of meat
takes more energy and produces more toxins as pure
vegetarian food because of the more complex proteins
in the meatdish. Our stomach doesn't really have the
kind of acid and short intestines predators have so
that half digested meat will tend to rot in the
intestines unless one stresses one's body to have a
more active digestive tract. Any physician will tell
the ordinary meateater to eat more diverse and have
more exercise. By nature primates that eat meat just
do so once in four to six weeks to replenish the
supply of vitamin B12 which is rare in plantfood.
Humans can find it in milk and foodsupplements like
kelp and spirulina (a seaweed and an algy). Therefore
switching to a more vegetarian style of taking
healthfood the advise is to eat normal as one did
before except for replacing the meatdish with
beans-products supplemented with kelp or spirulina in
case not enough vitamin is acquired from milkproducts.
Cutting in the amount and the type of protein digested
one can lead a more calm way of life without stressing
for the sake of discharge. One will not be less strong
in the body provided a wholesome diet, nor will one
have less energy giving up the agressionmotive that
would justify the predatory style. One has exactly the
same chemicals and same body to operate with. It is
just the food-discipline that has changed.
Difficulties in switching from one style to the other
can be ascribed to a lack in routine as one is always
conditioned to continue the old way. Hunger may not be
hunger properly kicked off from the habit of
meateating and eating too much in general
(pict.).
d)
Stop smoking and drinking.
Smoking
one loses lungcapacity as the lungs fill with slime
for the purpose of cleaning them from the smoke
residue. Regularly smoking will seriously prevent the
body from restoring to a clean state so that all kinds
of disease can follow. Of those cancer is the most
notorious. It is said that smoking not only will cost
you ten years of your lifespan but that it also
seriously impairs the normal functioning because of a
diminished condition and a mind
agitated by the toxins. Nicotine narrows the
bloodvessels and falsifies concentration. One will
even be concentrated when it is not wanted, so that
caught in toxic stress one will lose one's normal
positive attitude in life. Addictions have a
psychology of their own. The general denominator is
unhappiness because of intoxication. The real cause of
smoking and other intoxications is the inability of
proper aligning
to the interest of the truth: the soul.
Because one does not know how to bind and focus one's
energies one holds on to artificial means that of
course will never satisfy beyond a certain superficial
effect or faking. It is escapism with an inability to
cope with the truth of life .
Drinking
alcohol is traditionally done to relax and let go.
Especially meateaters must overstrain their bodies to
get rid of their toxic waste. Stressed up unnaturally
they tend to accuse the cultural situation for it and
derive from that snobbish elevation in the predatory
mode a spiteful attitude of contempt against society
to justify their alcoholabuse. Heavy addiction follows
the failure of adaptation in the negativistic
intoxicated mode. For years one can be lying to keep
up the pretense of health, but the process is
difficult to reverse without a serious conversion to
the higher values of the soul
(pict.).
To maintain and be successful in sport or society in
general, not to smoke and drink at all is the best.
Practically a conscious confession to the eternal
values with a wise attitude of moderation considering
any intoxicant (also tea, coffee, cacao and
soft-drugs) will give an acceptable
result.
e)
Keep exercising.
Endurance
in exercise is important. From the basic interest of
bending and stretching one can have many more
exercises to develop skill and strength for the sake
of a certain outcome. All these will have to be
discarded later on as one gets older and/or has
realized one's goals. One may even hope that the
exercise did not do any harm as overdeveloped muscles
will fatten losing function. Especially for the heart
muscle that is dangerous. Thus one has at the one hand
to give up while at the other hand one has to continue
with the basic exercises that may continue until
death. Simple bending and stretching as far as it goes
will keep the body as fit as is also possible at a
high age. With the endurance of exercise the art of
alignment
will come forth.
f)
Follow instructions.
Buying
an appliance one receives an instruction for use. It
is normal to follow these instructions although always
the temptation is strong to experiment without reading
any instructions. With the contraption of the human
body playing the games of life there is the same
tendency: it is normal to read of all the
'commandments' but rather we find out by damage and
shame for ourselves how the game actually works. Once
beyond the age of twenty-one the urge of the mature
option is that strong that not rarely children docile
as they are would do better than the adults. Adults
make up their own rules creating societies that are
not at all meant by the books of instruction. No one
would maintain that dropping atombombs would be the
ideal way of ending an armed conflict. Still those
things happen just because scriptures are not properly
consulted and put in practice. Another nice example is
our julian/gregorian roman calendar: it is really a
chaotic mess we only managed to tune to the sun by
means of one reform. The mess of having two divisions
of time
running through one another (date and day, week and
month), was never meant in the ancient scriptures of
e.g. the Far East. From there the sober notion
sprouted to have one division for the day as well as
for the year (tables).
But only recently this could be noticed as no one knew
those scriptures while the one's knowing them did,
apart from a mooncalendar not really feel responsible
for such technicalities and gave priority to an
adaptation to the roman style.
Not
following, not teaching and thus not knowing these
instructions many perversions of culture in ignorance
could sprout making the world-culture a vague idea of
what it could be. This is also found in the department
of sports where all kinds of rule's drive people
against each other in opposition forgetting the primal
definition of the sport. One would sport for pleasure
and not for the sake of enmity between opposing
parties as evidenced by e.g. the mutual killing of
soccersupporters in serious battles of armed
confrontation. The actual rules of sport hardly
provide for the meditation
of the values of alignment
fixed on accomplishing points, money and
status
more than on accomplishing a superior command of
sport. What is forgotten is that another definition of
being a good sport is not just to be pleasurable, jest
or likable but also to be one showing mutation. One
should evolve adaptations to a higher level of
selfrealisation in sport getting more close to the
values and truth of alignment.
Thus seen consequently following the rules would lead
to better rules, higher games and smarter
players.
g)
Avoid drugs.
This
is a basic rule sprouting from the eternal value of
loving the truth. Those who are in conflict with the
truth feel that. Those who adhere to the truth that is
in conflict feel that. Not knowing how to define the
truth, which according to the dictionary is to be
understood by the real state of things as an agreement
with fact or reality,
people suffer and want to escape. Drugs offer such an
escape. To a psychiatrist a person is sick as soon as
he cannot manage the problem of the truth: such a
person would be in need of medicine as his brain does
not function properly. To a psychologist though a
person in need is not a sick person as such but a
person honest enough to admit that he hasn't reached
his horizon, never will reach that horizon but still
has to go for a horizon. Although the psychologist
cannot exactly define the horizon as he has to be
value-free, he can help to find out what the position
is the person has taken and to what horizon there
would be perspective. To a filognostic
the horizon is known: love for knowledge means one
always goes for the soul.
The name of the therapy is order, the name of the
authority is God,
and the form of God
is Time.
The filognostic
is the representative of the God
of Time
and the Lord is the authentic expression of his
practice. Loving the truth he cannot say what the name
of the Lord is as the Lord has many names. In that he
stays the scientist undecided about the value of this
or that Lordship.
What
counts in the fight for the sake of the truth of the
soul
is the adaptation to Time
and circumstances so that no fixation will overrule
the love for the fellow man. Loving knowledge books
are the second medium, the first medium of truth is
the person himself. Therefore always the books, the
media, come second to the human being transmitting the
knowledge himself. If he can choose between the
theater and the cinema he will chose the theater. If
he must choose between a scheme of time
and a dynamic improvisation to that scheme he will
improvise. Also choosing between the priest and the
bible he will choose the priest. If he can choose
between holding on to drugs or giving them up for the
sake of the order of the soul
he will choose the latter. A person loving knowledge,
a filognosist,
will always talk and meditate with people as direct as
possible without glorifying anyone or anything. That
includes drugs. Drugs might be temporarily needed, but
the chronic use to escape from the challenge of truth
he will reject. No clouding of consciousness may be
seen at the horizon one is going for although often
one may depart from the intoxicated mists of the
down-fall.
h)
Be a team.
To
the definition of truth there is need of agreement.
One must form a team and hold together. Considering a
(re)new(ed) worldorder the most likely scripture of
accordance is the (english) dictionary. Knowing what
one is talking about there is the strength and danger
of a groupego.
Ego
separates itself as a cultural specific in defiance of
others: it is identified with the body, a uniform, a
scripture, a style of celebration etc. The
ego
is self-esteem of the mediator between
soul
and material reality.
(pict.)
Identified with the material purpose and forgetting
the duty of mediating the interest of the
soul
it falsifies and becomes dangerous. E.g. in the
interest of filognosy
one might propose a new design for a clock. But to the
reality
of the soul
one must honestly say that such a material endeavor is
not really needed for an individual who can very well
handle with a normal clock and calendar when it comes
to settling alternatives of timemanagement (see
tables).
Putting the material effect secondary the interest of
maintaining for the sake of the soul
is guaranteed and the danger of the violent falsehood
of ego
evaded.
To
the idea of sport the same is true: one must have an
agreement about rules that represent proper mediation
between the soul
(eternal values<pict.)
and material nature (the rules of the game). Without
the first the ego
will falsify and the sport will be a fall-down. Thus
the rules of a game must somehow reflect the eternal
values. The idea of forming a team must precede the
game, as everyone knows. The game may be that one
cooperates or opposes, but to begin with one must be
one. To take the example of soccer: one should be all
good football-players, but for a game the teams should
actually only be selected at the beginning of the
game, not be fixed long before as an ego
of opposition. Another rule of equality is that the
reserve should have equal chances to play. So having
e.g. 32 players one can be separated in two teams just
before a game, say red and blue expressed by shirts
and/or bands, while each randomly selected team should
be cut in two with eleven playing and five reserve,
while the rule of the game can be that anyone playing
the ball out of the field should be replaced by a
reserve. Thus everybody has a chance to play while the
motivation to keep the ball in the game is also
strengthened. This way no falsehood of
ego
can spoil the teamspirit while everybody has an equal
chance to prove his ability to keep the ball in the
field. The people then also come for a good game with
good players an not so much for this or that
team.
i)
Do not swear and curse.
Expressions
of strength and discontent arise with the aggression
that comes with the desire for results. The game can
be overshadowed by the desire to win. The basic
philosophy should be that the will to win is proof of
the uncertainty that one takes a winning position.
From the idea that one can only lose and thus one must
be defensive, aggression is much better controlled.
Thus the game must be for the quality of playing, not
for the amount of goals scored. One can, with the idea
of soccer, imagine that players are motivated in the
first place to keep the ball in the game and on one's
own side thus scoring minutes of control while scoring
goals can be discouraged by calling the first party
who scores more than ten the breaker of the game. The
ball would then have to be scored in one's own goal
only to be defended by the other party who has the
exclusive right to the defense-area not wanting the
game to be ended. The public would be decisive in
judging the quality of the play and stimulating
players to score or keep back. As in real life one
must go for one's own goal scoring on the
time
of control while others keep you from attaining to
stretch the game as long as possible (not for more
than eight working hours of four times two). This is a
game of 'dutch' soccer more close to the
reality
and truth of the soul
than the ordinary aggressive typeof soccer making
victims and enemies on false ego
and profitmotives.
j)
Always shower.
In
a good game one must run oneself into sweat. For
instance in the previous example of 'dutch' soccer one
could try to keep the ball to oneself in the defense
area, just training a bit amongst oneself ignoring the
the other party that must stay out of the area. The
public would have to call that off as boring with the
philosophy that winning without sweat is no good sport
at all. The rule may be expressed by the fact that
time
of control scored in the defense area does not count
to the victory so that the team is always motivated to
get into the confrontation decided to score and finish
the game or not to score but stay in control. It is
just like monks who cannot stay in the monastery to
keep the honor of the order. The honor of the order is
to have a mission and score on the capacity to control
or attain one's goal although obstructed by the
'ignorant'. The shower each good sport must take after
playing must be like the public hailing for the
success. No sweat means no success and no victory.
Only the good will of defending oneself (the
possession of the ball') in the confrontation with
people with another goal can give the success called
real and the shower called deserved. Not wanting the
shower is simply a dirty game to oneself. This also
reminds of what is traditionally called the
class-struggle: the different statusorientation-groups
(pict.)
may play their own games that can only count for being
a victory if they manage a confrontation with another
group. The sweat thus obtained may not be feared
though since in the real game of 'dutch' soccer the
parties are not fixed but randomly chosen irrespective
of the statusorientation of the selected. Maybe the
uniformity of a team will be more successful according
to statusorientation, maybe a mix is more successful.
Time
will tell what will rule when. Sweat as such means one
does not fear as long as one remembers the goal of the
soul
one is going for. In such a game of society as well as
the individual (statusorientation) as the
spirit
of teamwork is promoted. The colors of the teams might
be expressed by the bands and shirts of red and blue
(having the referee in white) while the individual may
clothe in football-garments in the color of his
statusorientation (pict.).
k)
Take precautions.
The
usual way to take precautions is to test and try in
training and education. Therefore one precaution is
not to let any junior or aspirant member of the order
dominate, settle or determine the game. At least a
first initiation in life, the mature age, recognized
commitment, confessed status (pict.),
acknowledged by age, diploma, special deserve or award
(a 'silver star') should be before the status
(pict.)
of independence can be supported (pict.).
Only from independent people, matured to the
filognosy
of the order, a responsible attitude can be expected.
They can stand for their own commitment and
identity
and be a worthy member of a party of cooperation. To
learn patience is the most important precaution. It is
the truth of man proposing and God
disposing. Of course any group of youngsters may play
a game of 'dutch' soccer to themselves but to the
parallel in society that just might take the
time
of one's life to attain.
Precautions
are there to prevent the loss of control. Thus a
schedule of activity should be accepted regulating the
need for proper education, progress, identity,
alignment,
bondage and independence through time.
The stages of life should be respected as well as the
daily routines needed to settle each culture to its
own. Also a game of sport to itself can be regarded as
a precaution: it prevents people from alienation from
the real structure of society and the nature of
playing itself. One should, by the game realize that
the whole of life is a game to which there are many
complexities of interaction with the 'audience' or
'public' and the opposing parties still keeping an
individual identity
of one's own.
l)
Love thy opponent.
People
play different games. The most popular game is not
necessarily the best though. Thus we have competition
between different games and within the game itself. An
integer game is a game uncorrupted. Corruption means
things going bad because of taking money etc. A game
that leads to moral debasement is a bad game.
Corrupted one loses quality and character because of
missing the principles. To have a proper game that is
in support of character and quality regulative
principles are needed. This leads to the basic notion
of the eternal values. Once having the game right
along these lines opposition can be the love of your
life (pict.).
To
have the game in order there must be sanctioning to
the basic values. People in respect of the order
should be rewarded while offenses should be penalized.
A game representing eternal values, quality and
character cannot do without sanctions. Playing the
ball is, with the example of 'dutch soccer' rewarded,
but only team wise and out of one's own defense-area.
Scoring to one's goal is itself not rewarded while
scoring to the goal of the other party is regarded as
playing out of the field and penalized by replacement.
The ball may not be played by the hands and playing
out or scoring the ball by the body of someone else
will be regarded as if played by the last person that
touched the ball. Therefore to score a goal does not
count when an opponent touched the ball. In the
defense area the opponent may touch the ball. There is
no fixed keeper: all players can be a keeper and even
toss one another the ball within the defense-area.
This also results in the fact that kicking the ball
out of the field by the body of an opponent will
result in kicking that opponent out of the field. Thus
the game can be rough too. Since one is playing on
time
the team that has the longest time
can score as much as they want and finish the game to
secure their victory. This guarantees the motivation
to score goals. On the other hand the losing team can
only be motivated to win time
in controlling the ball without scoring as scoring
would secure the victory of the opponent.
In
the parallel with real life playing by the hands would
equal constructive, fruitive activity: to make, to
potter. The defense area would equal the private
sphere where no opponent can disturb the tossing of
the ball to train one another or the children. Kicking
someone out of the field would equal accusation,
framing, projecting abusing and such. Being on the
reservebench would equal unemployment. Managing
society to the terms of 'dutch soccer' would mean that
everybody would keep fit in social security ready to
replace anyone being accused, scapegoated, abused or
otherwise victimized. Playing the ball out of the
field would equal being unresponsive without losing
the ball for the team. Not being obliged to respond
one is free to withdraw in the reserve position
confiding that sooner or later replacement by turn is
needed: the ball is not lost, just the player is
replaced. The ball itself would be a commitment of
work: a contract, an agreement, a project, a
proposition etc. This all means that essential to a
good society would be the ability to keep work going
on by keeping agreements, making new appointments,
setting the time
for scoring goals, settling policies of management
etc. A sick society would be either seriously
unresponsive(as e.g. during holidays), playing the
ball out of the game, or be unable to agree about work
by not being able to keep the ball within a team or
recognize the capacities of the team. A sick society
or bad team can be recognized by the lust to kick
others out of the game (thus losing the ball for the
team), indiscriminately wanting to score to the goal
of the other (to drop oneself out of the scene pushing
others in defense) or stay within the sphere of
private interest (overly defensive not playing the
game at all by disqualifying the opponent). To love
thy opponent means to play the game to its full
capacity engaging all possible
players.
m)
Invite for a game.
To
invite for a game first one must agree about who would
be in the reserve, who would play and what strategy or
ball one would like to play. First the team may agree
about this or correct the strategy later on stopping
the game holding the ball in one's own area. To the
preparation of a game the first initiative is to get a
ball; to take an initiative for action. Then one must
find the suitable partners or team and then one must
agree about the strategy or return to the
drawing-board for another ball or team more willing to
the proposition of a game. Once there is agreement
about the ball and the strategy of the game, the
opponent must be invited to join and counter the ball
to another goal and answer to the strategy. To have a
fair game a referee is needed to decide about the
sanctions and respect the times taken for playing to
decide who has won after the scoring of ten goals or
decide on breaking the game after maximally eight
hours of playing.
To
compare to the greater game of society each person may
set a goal with other people: e.g. to have a
theaterproduction. If the company would still exist
after ten productions one may say the game is finished
to the concept of attaining to a strategy and type of
ball. To invite the opponent would be to advertise to
attract an audience that on themselves also might be a
community of people managing to their own material
goals of producing and managing. If those ten theater
productions would last with the same company in the
same community, it would be to the sweet Lord of
Time,
the referee, to decide who would have won the game on
scoring to the concept of real public playing
time.
Thus seen to invite to a game is not the same as
leaving the private sphere to go the theater e.g.. To
have it the same also an agreement of work to that
outgoing attitude is needed. Winning the game would be
recognition for the team inviting or the team invited:
to the theater e.g. people can amount to recognize
each other socializing or to recognize that a certain
company performing would be of a more significant
social continence.
n)
Play outdoors as much as possible.
This
rule pertains to the difference between having fun and
playing in the private sphere and being seriously
engaged in a social game of strife about the favor of
the Lord of Time
who would keep our soul
to our preferred way of serving the 'good cause'. Thus
seen having a school of science, a political party or
a religion around the historic reality
of a manifest Lordship would all belong to the private
sphere of practicing skill, training in morality and
planning for goals and strategies in preparation. The
real thing is in fact the totality of the outdoors
society willing to accept the confrontation of the
different matured philosophies, strategies and
goal-orientations. The familiar illusion
that this or that religion, philosophy or scientific
approach would win and dominate the world is hereby
debunked: one can only say that temporarily this or
that team has won, but that, since society only makes
sense with the game of life confronting the parties,
there will always be the winning of the game itself
and not of any team ever on the long run. It is
important to remember that teams in 'dutch soccer' are
formed for the sake of one game only. One really must
withdraw and form a new team after every game. To each
age new religions, scientific paradigms and political
strategies appear to prove that the old adaptations
are in need of reform. Fighting to win the favor of
the greater of society all have to share in the free
association (pict.)
of the outdoors society forming teams of whatever
make-up. Although teams can fight each other no one
can deny the necessity of the game itself. Losing the
game all together is nothing but war and total
destruction in the false belief that any option of
teamwork could rule private unlimited forever or exist
without playing the games of opposition in a fair and
regulated confrontation.
o)
Respect the rules and serve goodness.
To
the greater of society the rules are quite clear: they
are settled by law in agreement with religious,
scientific and political considerations. Maybe mother
nature is forgotten, but she will surely let mankind
know and feel about the consequences of
overpopulation, destruction of species, ecological
failure or living in dangerous areas. To any sportsman
this is not different: the rules of the game are known
while forgetting the dear wife at home or the greater
interest of society, the soul
and the natural reality,will
bear consequences. The game is not called cooking and
cleaning. Nor is the game called sleeping and
forgetting. Still a great part of life is filled with
the interest of the private natural sphere. In fact
the schizoid
position of people moving between the two positions
must be overcome. The game should include the natural
interest, while the private sphere cannot be denied
its political, scientific and religious
reality.
To the game as well as to the private interest one can
have great passion or ignorant indolence. Decisive is
the practice of attaining to and maintaining in the
mode of goodness (pict.).
To this one must rise above the lower levels of
personal integrity being the sexual, powerful, social
or emotional. To use one's head includes to speak up,
develop insight and attain to the divine of
selfrealization in everyday life (pict.).
By means of the higher levels one attains to the pure
goodness of God,
the goal and divine of selfrealization. This isthe
real center of command that no one can falsify as
everyone is connected and controlled to it. To the
mode of goodness only the realization that one has
become a servant of the divine interest can contain.
Any lower motive of the sexual, dominant, social or
emotional kind will be tainted by the mode of passion
which has anger for it's shadow and the mode of
ignorance that is followewd by madness
(pict.).
Full continence in the mode of goodness with all
knowledge, power, riches, beauty, austerity and fame
(pict.)
only the sweet Lord could accomplish. Once having
accepted that as a normal profiteer
of society one always has to go for that horizon of
the ideal self never attaining it, goodness can be as
a straight idea of servitude in devotion. Fostering
jealousy, anger, possessiveness, lust, misconceptions
and pride (pict.)
though one will miss, being attached to the byproducts
or opulence of the mode of goodness, the actual goal
of selfrealization. For the goodness one has to work
for the game of accepting the confrontation with an
opposite. No escapism within any system will bring the
goodness and peace human society is needing to survive
with mother nature. Once the rules of the game are set
the goodness of accepting winning and losing in a fair
game can be.
p)
Meditate before and after.
Not
mystifying meditation
is to view and consider thoughtfully, to contemplate.
It means one has to fix one's eye on something and to
think about it seriously according to a plan. Shortly
meditation
is serious consideration according to a plan. To give
thought must precede actions as well as follow them.
Without planning before and evaluation thereafter no
selfcorrection is possible. Without selfcorrection
things become fixed, dead and have to be given up. The
complete of life and evolution is nothing but constant
selfcorrection. It is how genes mutate and organisms
work. Fixed one dies while adaptation to the changes
of time
will define the continence of being, the survival.
Therefore no fixation on anything material will stand.
Essentially one should be fixed on the
soul
in conscientious selfremembrance but since one is
always identified with the body one feels fear:
something will happen inside the spirit
if really the conscientious and not the physical is
the objective. The physical is in fact just the mean
to the end of soulfulness. But the soul
cannot be without the intelligence
while it's spirit
will direct the mind.
Meditation
gives mindfulness, that mind
must be managed to a spirit
and that spirit
must accord with the soul
through intelligence.
If one of these steps is missed anxiety will ensue:
one will serve the false self of the body, find the
mind
going negative missing the proper spirit
and as a consequence will lose control over the drives
of the body.
Many
people think sport etc. would be just a matter of
physical training: that is how one attains to control.
But the reality
and necessity of meditation
prove differently: the body is ultimately controlled
by the motives and reality
of the soul.
It is just like managing a computer: if the user
commands against a program the computer will either do
the wrong thing eventually ruining the program itself
as a virus or will simply fail to execute. The human
body is an organic computer not run digital, but
trilogical (pict.)
under natural command. To the duality of yes and no
there will always be the uncertainty-factor of the
alternative or shadow while the whole is subjected to
the nature, order and matters of time.
The uncertainty of the alternative will slow down to
conscious prudent action known as the safeguard of
intelligence
once is learned that any option has to change by
time.
The
difference between prudence and fear is given by the
motive to the goal one is heading for: material goals
make fear while spiritual goals will give
intelligence,
consciousness and happiness after truthloving
selfrealisation. Missing the purpose of the
spirit
one becomes unhappy, a liar and a possessive egoistic
cheat. Serving the weakness one becomes a coward,
traitor, and a blind addict or slave of financial
speculation, killing without necessity, sex and
intoxicants. The first is called heaven and the latter
called hell.
q)
Quit a game running bad.
Fixing
oneself on the appearances of the world and giving
thought to it in the remembrance of the soul, one soon
will find out about good and bad: the bad will be
paranoid seeing evil in others escaping from the
conscientious and thus fall down, while the good will
find trust seeing good in others being thoughtful to
the spiritual plan. Young inexperienced
countercultures often have to invent the wheel anew,
just to discover what everybody knew already:
experience is the best teacher. For instance the game
of courting for a relationship is in the western world
done in discotheques. But having lost control in the
use of intoxicants everything ran into free sex,
commercialism and the glorification of the
ego.
The postmodern situation is characterized by fear of
sex and criminal corruption: the music is too loud and
hectic and the intoxicant is no longer the legal
alcohol but the illegal soft or hard-drug. The fear of
sex is problematic: couples have difficulty to find
intimacy as no slow music is played anymore. The
criminal sphere of illegal intoxication makes paranoid
while the danger of incurable venereal diseases ruins
the trust in any possible sexpartner. It all becomes
like an autistic masturbation to which never any
intelligence
can hold and all innocence of youth will be
spoilt.
Growing
older and wiser by experience one begins to expel the
experience itself always being corrupt on the
contemporal of a generationmotive. This is not at all
was meant: it should not run into a generation
conflict of hippies rejecting the next generation
having that generation later on rejecting their own
culture the same way. Instead a cross-generational
liberation in a healthy love for sexual partnership,
celebration of good and popular (dance)music being
free from crime, mental illness and addiction was
meant. Games running bad should be abandoned as bad
company will ruin your life. But at the same
time
ideals should not be given up. After generational
thesis and antithesis also synthesis will take place
by nature. The good of the modern generations will be
kept in the style of a e.g. 'straight edge'-mentality
tuned down to a less fanatic level, while the soulful
of the previous counterculture will offer a purified
version of the same old thing. Thus the
countercultural experience can be maintained for all
people of all generations as a welcome expansion of
the human potential: to our example - the ability to
find liberation in dancing in freedom without any
fear.
r)
Play for the game and not for the gain.
To
winning and losing with a game the most important to
remember is not to lose the soul; not to give up the
conscientious. Willing to win, while spoiling the
spiritual one may gain material power or position
still in fact having lost the essence. The losers are
the one's grousing: corrupting one runs into the
seduction of intoxication with a profitmotive spoiling
the character with illicit practices. Therefore not
the material outcome is decisive but the experience of
the game itself: in fact the game of life never ends
although it constantly changes form; e.g. this
generation has to be afraid of sex, while the previous
one could be overly positive about it. Both have in
common the lack of good regulation or planning of
formal liberation and culture. Essential to progress
in this is the tuning down of the profit motive: money
and such is really not that important once is known
who one is dealing with and what the possibilities of
spending and obtaining are. The quality of the player
and the game is important, not so much the quantity of
players or the profit it would give. From this the
importance can be derived of upgrading the formal
structure of society and thus reinforcing the
qualities of the people
involved.
s)
Keep your strategy in respect.
Strategy
is the result of experience: one has learned to
exercise respect according certain principles. To the
outer effect there are as many strategies as there are
people: each has his own version of the idea of being
human. This can be very confusing. To be yourself is a
vague idea of keeping integrity to which there are no
absolutes, laws or rules in general so it seems. But
on closer study it must be said that to stay yourself
is a value: it is a confession to continence.
Continence seems to be the essence of the true
teaching. It means that to oneself one should be
loyal; not to be a lie to yourself, not to betray
yourself. This is half of the eternal values: don't
lie don't cheat for the sake of being true and clean.
The other half of sharing and helping is a social
notion. To the first notion of continence one can be
egoistic since it is concerned with relating to
oneself. But since no man is an island the social
option cannot be denied. To this the first
'egodefeating' principle is the religiously common
known principle of compassion. For the sake of
compassion the other principle of sobriety, the
willingness to share, is accepted. Thus realizing that
the interest of the ego
is just half of reality
one cannot escape from the selfdefeating
loveprinciples of compassion and non-possessiveness.
It is not a command but a psychological
reality
no one escapes from. Love cannot be ordained
individually, but collectively we cannot escape from
sharing and helping without running into warfare.
Individually one can run into mental illness failing
in the psychological need to help oneself and share
one's life. One may play the patient and enforce help
from others sharing in sickness. Still the values are
reinforced although not practiced to the ideal of
selfrealisation. The mature option of independence can
make it very difficult to sort out how we should share
and help without patronizing and manipulating others
into dependency. It is very easy to become a false
authority claiming to be better than the one's in
need. But to call the other a profiteer
is unjust as everyone profits from the accomplishments
of the forefathers. Gratitude naturally takes the form
of helping and sharing: one feels guilty without being
accused. Only on frustration of service and inability
to share, problems arise. Thus unemployment and
individualism are considered great threats in modern
society.
Realizing
the dynamic of Time
and life as a whole keeping to a strategy gets another
meaning: it then means to stick to the principles
(pict.)
of progress and not to look back. Without this
unemployment cannot be recognized as another form of
work nor can individualism be recognized as a stage of
selfrealization. The delusion lies in the idea of
being fixed in an unsolvable problem of unemployment
and egoism. It is a matter of consciousness: one
should drop out of the standardway of thinking and
tune in to the alternative just to have a fresh look
at exactly the same way of life. One can e.g. be a
politician with a policy of one's own, but at the same
time
in another state of consciousness be a meditator
committed to the interest of the Lord. The first
option may show an unemployed individualist while the
second option shows a considerate servant. The latter
is the view of progress in selfrealization while the
first belongs to the 'not-this' delusional state
ofmaterial consciousness. A simple way to summarize
this rule is to say that progress is from content and
delusion from the identification with
form.
t)
Care for an impartial judge.
Caught
in the duality of material opposition any sportive or
professional competition runs into the risk of a
'not-this' realization of delusion. This state is
generally unwanted, destructive and debilitating. One
alienates, suffers loss and loses quality as a
consequence of the 'not-this'-realization. The whole
meaning of a spiritual concept of order is about
defeating the illusions of the 'not-this'-type of
consciousness. It is not to call the standardway
delusional itself. It is from the lack of
consciousness of the complementing and expanding
alternative that delusion is born. The negative
flippancy of knowing it as 'not-this' ruins all
respect and progress making any goodness of
standardsociety a nightmare of addiction, imprisonment
and disease. Hating the rut, missing the grit one
misses it not knowing what. That is misery. To get out
of the old misery of 'football' that always knew
suffering in delusions of opposition, the position of
the referee is needed. The referee should not be fixed
on counting offenses and goals, but should be the one
deciding about time
to judge the capacity to control. Thus the referee
will be appreciated by the players who are in need of
the positive sanctioning of their playing. The
impartial judge should not be the God
who is feared and hated as he would always punish the
sinners. The impartial judge should be the fellow
human being who can rise above the duality of the
opposition and judge when the game is rightly of this
or that person and team. The judge is impartial if he
himself is not in opposition to the game itself which
would be foul without him. The judge should merely
judge and not suffer the delusions of the
'not-this'-game thinking he can control the players by
means of chastising. The game is controlled by its
rules and the rules are derived from natural
reality
the way God
wanted it. A game that is constantly in need of a
chastising authority is simply a bad game that is in
need of revision. And this notion not only concerns
english soccer. Also in e.g. the political field the
impartial judge may appreciate the quality of a team
to the endurance of its reign.
u)
Do not fear a psychological game.
Especially
concerning strategies there is a lot of psychology
involved. The purpose of control is served best by
fathoming the psychology of the game. Once the
mechanisms of control are understood even loss can be
a victory understanding that for instance age,
statusorientation and experience are decisive to a
victory. There is always some psychology going on in
any game of life. Some games are set up just to
challenge the ignorance of a certain psychology. For
instance the will to win can be considered
psychologically as a weakness only awarding losers
with the satisfaction of a certain insight. Not
knowing this people can be afraid of even playing the
game: they suspect an evil genius manipulating them
into dependency. With mental patients this can often
be observed: the will to be independent completely
perverted by the 'not-this' aversion runs into a chaos
of selfrealisation where not even one's own
mindimpressions are recognised as being imagination of
authority in positive identification with the
paternal. From the perversion of refutation people
grouse and regress twisting the definitions of
reality
to concepts of rules and games that can never arise
above the duality. Religiously the social derangement
of the 'not-this' mind
is called false prophecy, scientifically it is called
imposing and politically it is called dictature. The
true believer is always a devotee, the true scientist
is always a rebel and the true politician is always a
democrat. From this the ideal cultural person would be
a democratic and devoted rebel: the mature person is
always critical about the other authority, wouldn't
need to impose himself either and leave the management
to the democratic rule. The devotion would be to the
free association of people following the alternatives
of formalised and informal society liberated to this
or that service of order or not.
After
thousands of years a mature culture would not have to
chew the chewed anew running into the same old type of
war etc. Like a chess-computer defeating the
worldchampion, science can form a program of
management that is no one in particular anymore. The
lead that is no one is the accumulation of our
experience. Just like with computers, all that is
needed is memory, high speed and a dynamic program of
adaptation to time
and circumstances. The psychology arises not
recognising the authority or missing the
filognosy,
the love of knowledge. Taking the challenge of a
psychological game the winner always has discovered
the true authority being a devoted and democratic
rebel.
v)
Always remember to thank your opponent for the
game.
It
is a gentlemen's agreement to be in respect of the
people who opposed in he game, whether they won really
or just believe they have won. People who believe that
they can lose or win to the reality
of an eternal soul
have forgotten that conscientious selfremembrance is
not restricted to one's own body and thus cannot
really be won or lost. The only thing unreal is death
as to Time
change is the fact of life. But still there should be
gratitude for the body, the game, the society and the
opponent in the game. Although form is not eternal,
matter
certainly is as eternal as the consciousness thereof.
The only thing that counts is the continence of soul
through the changes of time.
The miracle
is in the selfremembrance that continues over death.
It defies material logic which declares it
discontinuous. The miracle
affirms the principles of love as they declare
continuation of remembrance. Once having the
ego
settled without the falsehood and
'not-this'-realization of lies and deceit, love can be
with all its sharing and caring. Following this it is
possible and even mandatory etiquette to show respect
after the game of the opposing ego
has finished. Each game of sport and otherwise should
be recognized as a doorway to the reality
of human love. Without it the game of life wouldn't be
worth playing and loss would be unbearable. How can
you lose a game if all participants win love sharing
and caring about it? Losing a game one should thank
the opponent saying 'thank you for the game', knowing
that the only real loss is the loss of the love for
the game. A game is not bad because you lose it, it is
bad because rules are missed.
w)
Do not hate to be an outsider or beginner.
Another
problem of all good sport is jealousy: beginners and
outsiders can be that envious that the whole game is
discarded or even perverted and debased to a form that
is nothing but injustice. Mr.Muscle tries to win over
Mr.Morality in a classical competition that is
ultimately won by the moral majority as mere opposing
force can only find peace in the forgetfulness of
intoxication. The synthesis of muscle serving morality
makes the godhead ruling the sports. All sport is in
service of this godhead that is himself a mature
devotee of democracy. The godhead religiously is
always a devotee himself of the complete whole of
God
he can never cover completely. Therefore there is
always classically a multitude of Gods or supreme
selfrealizers who model for the beginners and
outsiders. Righteous people love to see a good game as
an outsider or realize that a lot has to be
accomplished being a beginner. The fun usually is over
once the game is under control: then one begins to
think about a game of one's own as everything should
evolve. From mastery to divinity is a big step though
involving the whole of mankind. Even a thing as simple
as a cooking recipe can change the whole world. Any
small change in the habits of a human being will
result in a complete change of that human being. If
e.g. nobody would smoke cigarettes we would have a
completely different type of social cohesion and
collective selfrealization. Often people underestimate
the impact and importance of their own contribution.
Thus seen selfesteem and selfknowledge is very
important. If a soul
would reincarnate e.g. but would not catch up his or
her former practices humanity would certainly lose an
important capacity. This is also true for animals
whose contribution to the joy of life is difficult to
estimate. Being prudent as an outsider relative to
e.g. animals or trees or as a beginner relative to
e.g. other believers would save mankind a lot of
misery.
x)
Do not gamble on outcome.
This
rule relates to the reality
of the eternal principle of sobriety. Peace can only
be with contentment: be happy with what you are and
have, do not desire for anything more. Still evolution
presses towards a higher, say more complicated, state.
This seeming contradiction is understood from the need
not to repress; the assertionrule that states that any
defense of one's own interest may not go at the cost
of others. Likewise evolution may not go at the cost
of what existed before. From a developing fetus we
learn that in man all the previous stages of evolution
are still kept. From an amoeba we develop towards a
fully adapted homo sapiens not stopping at being a
fish or a reptile. In psychoanalysis the failure of
sound evolution is known as repression while the
spiritual stresses personal emancipation before a
collective revolution. Economy stresses the idea of
fair competition being social darwinism: although it
does not regret repression and monopoly still the
belief is that competition is needed to have the best
service. The problem of economy specifically and
mankind generally is as far as the value of sobriety
or sharing is concerned, the tendency to gamble;
speculate on the outcome. As explained before, in the
delusion of material gain, the idea of winning is
contained which is indicative for the reality
of offense. The speculator does not defend but attack.
He puts his money, energy and capacity in building
castles in the air with the only possible real outcome
of living the want for ever more. This defines desire
before servitude and its shadow of aggression (war)
before acceptance of service (peace). Therefore
sobriety and its outcome of sharing is known as a
basic principle or eternal value of the
soul
by means of which one avoids speculation and gambling
(pict.).
In contrast with the evasion of speculation for an
outcome there is the speculation in favor of the
soul:
it defines intuition, inspiration, the sixth sense,
metaphysical knowledge, the intelligence
of compassion, he love of God
and the wisdom of the holy spirit.
Without this speculation nobody could fathom about his
original nature. Striving for servitude the mission of
selfrealisation is to uncover the authentic
relationship, the eternal nature of the individual
soul.
Psychologists define it, not speculating about the
possibility of reincarnation, as the identity
formed in positive
identification.
y)
Identify with the honorable.
As
identification is as well the problem as the solution,
it is of greatest importance to give it due
consideration. As a problem identification pertains to
the falsity of permanence of the material form while
for the positive religiously the honor of holiness,
politically the honor of the becoming and
scientifically the honor of the paternal is concerned.
To this positive of identification the natural option
should be added of the honor of natural self-evidence.
To respect the complete whole in this the
reality
of the holy, becoming and selfevident paternal is the
object of identification. Religiously one might call
for the Lord, scientifically for the biological father
and politically for the head of state. But from
natural selfevidence one follows one's hate and love
to follow or oppose from the personal to the
impersonal. Although the personal is the way of
learning in identification, the mature option always
presses towards the impersonal norm and values of
aligning
to the invisible connecting soul
of the soul:
the supersoul religiously called God,
scientifically called the true of time
or ideal, true self and politically called the purpose
of utopia.
Practically
identification boils down to the idea of what would be
holy, becoming, selfevident and paternal. Holiness
follows from the value of cleanliness. Not just taken
materially but also spiritually the spiritual pure is
defined as holy as far as it is worthy of reverence.
Since to the mature option no name can be betrayed one
is for the sake of worldorder left to the impersonal
object of reverence. In fact the clock must learn to
represent the individual identity.
God
impersonally taken in the form of time
can be and is venerated by means of clockwork. There
is no sane person religious or not that would doubt
the status of the clock as the director of the order
of society. We simply cannot do without. Hence the
before mentioned serious concern with alternatives of
clockmanagement and a proposition for an improved
design.
As for the becoming
we are looking for the suitability of a good form
which is also a religious definition. To the
selfevidence of the natural option we would need no
further explanation, shortly defining validation as a
scientific it-is-as-it-(naturally)-is to which the
discussion of which paternal option, would be solved
by the value of freedom. The purpose is to have a free
choice of timeawareness by means of an instrumental
respect for alternatives. The impractical of natural
chaos contrasted with a free choice of pragmatic,
religious, political or psychologically inspired
paradigmata of timemanagement (pict.)
would ultimately look like a computer-clock but be
practically worked out by a simple indication on the
existing calendar and alternative use of existing
timepieces- and schemes as pictured in
tables
& designs.
Those who call the love for an alternative as being
neurotic may realize that their own confession to the
comfort of standardtime can also be considered a
compulsory neurosis.
As long as the heart does not dominate the lower
conditionings of the body to the ego
of a group, the power of a position or the sexual of
love, neurosis
(the sickness of the nerve) is the reality.
z)
Accept your loss and glory equanimous.
Equanimity
is a great accomplishment. It is popularly known as
'being cool', not very concerned about the outer world
or material effect: he who loses temper is the real
loser. Psychologically it is one's composure with
which the calm is kept. Winning is a relative thing
and losing too. The soul
is the mystery of continence that irrespective of the
condition of the body continues to operate. A dead
person or a loser (of life) can still be working in
the heart of the others and a newborn baby can still
be wanting to win the whole world showing a character
that doesn't change for the rest of its life.
Equanimity directly refers to the reality
of God,
Lordship, selfrealization, personal interest,
soul
and maturity. A young child can thus be more mature
than an adult because of which we cannot have standard
recipes of judging people.
An
overly concern about gain and loss is proof of
ignorance about the reality
of the soul.
One can be very disturbed possessed by this ignorance
not being aware of the train of illusion
one is on. Although good sport seems to be a matter of
skill the reality
is that a good game can only be with people who are
familiar with the science of the soul.
The game of life is complex and nobody knows all the
rules but certain is that it must be clear who, where
and when one is, to play a game of opposites. It is
also a game to find out who, where and when the master
of the game is. Tobe equanimous to the master is
always the human problem going for opposition or not.
To crash seems to be the inevitable consequence of
life as no one can control the complete of the human
game. A good sport may see no other choice than to
laugh about the missers in the comic-book of life.
Some day everybody will be finished crying about
spoilt milk. To see the game means not to take life
too serious also.
